Beaten Down

Had a high self-esteem

And so it was beaten down

I thought that in my trade i was supreme

And now I feel myself drown

I have been felled for the first time

And many more times to come

No longer in my prime

Now I feel like scum

So I no longer care

Apathetic

I no longer have a prayer

No longer sympathetic

A state of neutrality

I stare blankly into space

Torn away from reality

And the tears stream down my face
