Beating Drums
BEATING DRUMS
by. R.p. Stevens
While I'm standing on the beach
Holding hands with that special one
I can hear it in the distance
The sound of beating drums
I forget about the beating
And turn to hold her close
But the drummers are drumming louder
Seems like my ears just might explode
I kiss her on her lips
And gaze into her eyes
These drums are getting louder
They have to be near by
We cuddle on the beach
She lays her hand upon my chest
Drums are right beside us
So loud it takes my breath
As I lay next to her quiet
So scared I'm going numb
Then it all just finally hit me
My heart was the beating drums..
