The Beating Heart

The very little memories I have of you Makes me not want to be around you The once in a blue moon chance we get You turn your head as if you didn’t see me. Life is short like someone once told me You either live it up or die lonely. Is it safe to say I don’t know if I love you or not Because I struggle inside to wonder if we will ever get along or see eye to eye. Growing up without you has been the best thing so far No stress, headaches or nightmares at night. I need someone who isn’t afraid to step up to the plate Yet admit that they made mistakes. No one seems to understand the pain I have or go through everyday Because I wake up with a smile and thank god For his faith he planted within. All that’s left for me to do is thank the Heavenly father for life and keep on moving forward And keep my eyes on the prize.
