Beautiful

Child you are beautiful

You are the darkest bark

Covered in a sheen from the purest honey

The earth grew grass to soften your tread

The trees grew leaves to lessen your heat

The flowers bloom every morning

To echo your smile

The ocean comes upon the shore

For want of you

The earth turned round in search of you

And asked the sun for light to see you better

The wind forever blows

Wishing for arms in which to hold you

Nature itself exists for love of you

How can you not know

Child you are beautiful
