Beautiful
I've always been the smart one
The one to get everything done
That's how they describe me
The fixer, the one we all want to be
except me, I Just Want To Be Beautiful
Friday night nothing to do
Who would want to date me, who?
I'm in no way pretty,
I'll never be skinny
I Just Want To Be Beautiful
My sister is amazing
Her personality is just blazing
She cares for no one but herself
And the number of trophies on her shelf
Trophies who cares I Just Want To Be Beautiful
They say that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder
Then how come all guys give me the cold shoulder
The state of my hair is always a hot mess
The only thing i can do is ace that math test
Math is great but, I Just Want To Beautiful
The moon in the night sky
Every day I stare and wonder why?
Everyone stares mystified at the beauty it bares
I don't need nor want it's million stares
I Just Want To Be Beautiful
Everyday I plan for a wedding I know I won't get
And everyday I sleep with my face wet
Tears dropping down my less than perfect face
I just want my horrible life erased
I Just Want To Be Beautiful
Days and Days pass by
He walks in my life and tells no lie
He says i'll never be alone
We have hour long talks on the phone
But, I Just Want To Be Beautiful
He tells of how i stole his love
Flew away with it like a white Dove
I laugh at his silly jokes
As we have picinics under the big oak
I Just Want To Be Beautiful
One night we drive to the shore
He tells me he likes the dress i wore
Exactly like the one i had the day we met
The word he speaks i hear but just don't get
I Just Want To Be Beautiful
The only thing you hear is the beating of our hearts
As the amazing sun finally departs
I look over to find him staring at me
Then suddenly gets on one knee
What's happening? I Just Want To Be Beautiful
He talks slowly while looking at me
"I want us together for eternity"
I want you to be my wife
I want you in everyday of my life
I Love You, and You Are My Beautiful
