Beautiful

I am beautiful

The face that I hide

It's beautiful

It has always been good enough

It always will be

I am beautiful

The dirt that you see on me is beautiful

Because it means that I can work

That is beautiful

This callus on my finger

It is beautiful

Because it means I can write

I can create and share my creations

That is beautiful

These tears are beautiful

They glisten as they roll down my face

They mean I can feel

That I can hurt

That I can have joy

That is beautiful

These freckles are beautiful

Spots where angels have kissed my skin

They are beautiful because they mean I can enjoy the sunshine

That is beautiful

These scars are beautiful

They mean I have healed

That I was hurt

But I am perfect again

That is beautiful

I am beautiful

You are beautiful too
