Beautiful

Location

I am not a thin gal,

I could lose a couple pounds.

I don’t wear the skin tight jeans,

Or the shirts that make it hard to breathe.

The rosacea in my cheeks,

And my dimpled smile,

The heart on my sleeve,

And the words that last a mile,

They make my who I am,

Beautiful inside and out.

Physically and Metaphorically.

I am not a thin gal,

I do not compare to others,

Who are as light as a feather.

I see past society’s definition of imperfections,

And look to my heart.

That’s where true beauty is held.

I am not a thin gal,

But I am beautiful in every way.
