Beautiful?
I dress in clothes I think others will like
I put make up on to impress others
I never hold my head high
Because I know inside I’m not as pretty as other girls
I try to accept a compliment when others give them to me
But I know inside its just a fake compliment
They’ve seen better
They know I’m not pretty
But they don’t want to be mean
Or bring me down
But I know the truth
I’m only beautiful on the inside
But most do not care about that
It’s all about what’s on the outside
And every day I ask myself
Is my hair okay?
My make up is it good?
Do I look pretty?
No, Do I feel pretty?
No, and I realize
Girl you will never be like those other girls
Your special and unique in your own way
Your different then most
You wear your heart on your sleeve to show others
That you care about them even if…
You don’t even know them
And your there to help,
So that is what makes you truly beautiful
Is the way you want to help others
And the way you put people before yourself
Even when you’re completely sad inside
You will still help a friend
And turn their frown upside down
Because you care to much to see them hurt
