That Beautiful Brighid

I watch as she dances, prances through my mind

Bright and beautiful, fiery and kind

Ginger hair long and curling about white feet

Freckles like the cosmos splashed across her body

I have to stop, hold my breath, our eyes meet

What is she thinking, I’m staring not blinking

I can feel this heat burning my weakness away

Casting me in iron making me strong, yet for her I sway

Like a horse my heart gallops top speed, freedom sings

Everytime I look in her eyes, my spirit grows wings

I’m in love with a goddess, she is flawless

Wild and lawless, burning down all that stands before her

I adore her as I fear her, just as you cannot touch a flame

I love her from afar.
