Beautiful Butterfly

I was a caterpillar

Eating and praying to survive

Slowly growing each day

Hoping and believing I’ll fly

Isolated in a cocoon

Thinking and praying I won’t fall

As the days pass by one by one

I see the others start to fly

Still in my cocoon I start to wonder why

My hope gets smaller and smaller

Blinded by sadness I couldn’t see

Something staring back at me

The day it’s almost gone and disappeared

Feeling stupid I’ve realized

I am beautiful butterfly

And I was the whole time
