beautiful days

we were young and alive, mischief in our blood. we were fairies and spies, lions and tigers. our imagination was key- we were never alone. we hailed from the country, green surrounded us from every side. cows as our neighbors, corn was our food. we spent a thousand hours in just one day, nothing could ever take that away. until the day our innocence ran astray.
