"Beautiful" Depression

Depression

is not beautiful.

Depression is the thing

that prevents me

from doing normal things.

Having normal sleep patterns,

getting out of bed on time,

eating like I should,

showering daily,

brushing my hair

going out with friends.

Don’t tell me

depression is beautiful.

Depression is the reason

I haven’t showered

or brushed my hair

in seven days.

I haven’t slept,

I feel sick when I eat,

I never want to get up.

When I sleep,

I have bad dreams.

Waking up,

that’s the nightmare.
