Beautiful Disaster

She is a hurricane.

A strong and beautiful storm whirling with unpredictablilty.

A force to be reckoned with,

And she will destroy everything in her path.

She's as loud as a thunderstorm and as bold as the lightening that comes along with it.

She can be peaceful like the rain,

Her heartbeat like a base drum, keeping time to the pitter-patter of each drop hitting the earth.

She's the type of girl who can make the earth tremble just by waking up in the morning.

The ground shakes beneath her like she is the deepest fear of the techtonic plates below her feet.

And the ground she walks on starts to split with every step she takes.

There's nothing she relates to more than the volcanoes.

Dormant for years, never knowing when she'll erupt next,

Never knowing what could set her off.

She tries to hold everything in, but sometimes the molten lava thoughts explode from her mind and spew out her mouth.

She is the gentleness of the ocean waves meeting the sand.

Each crash louder, each wave taller,

Until finally she feels she is big enough to defend herself.

A tsunami strong enough to demolish entire cities before they can get to her.

Her love of swimming comes in handy when she becomes one with the water,

Flowing with every wave, going wherever the current takes her.

She is a hurricane,

A woman of unpredictable moves.

And trust me, she will obliterate anything that comes in her way.

I am a hurricane.

And when I leave, you'll finally realize why storms are names after people.
