A Beautiful Goddess
Dear Jahnyri,
The young and fearful Jahnyri,
The anxious Jahnyri,
The Jahnyri who was scared to be herself,
The Jahnyri who was afraid to eat in front of guys,
The Jahnyri who had a social anxiety attack at her first party,
A college party,
The Jahnyri who was constantly worried about what others were thinking,
Or what they were saying behind your back,
The Jahnyri who stayed inside to avoid people,
The Jahnyri who always had butterflies in her stomach,
The Jahnyri who had to be perfect,
The Jahnyri who was terrified of failure,
Terrified of disappointing everyone watching,
The Jahnyri who knew you had anxiety,
But didn't know how to approach your parents about treatment,
Because deep down,
You knew you could conquer it alone,
Jahnyri,
You're not that girl anymore,
That shy, introverted girl,
You've overcome,
There's nothing wrong with you,
You're simply human,
You've prayed,
And God has delivered you from your anxiety,
So get out of your head,
Walk in confidence,
Always remember,
You're smart and beautiful,
So there's nothing to be ashamed or afraid of,
You can do it,
And you will to do it.
Sincerely, Jahnyri 2.0
