Beautiful Me

Beauty

A word that holds much meaning

yet is all based on perspective.

The view of this world

can be seen in magazines -

VS angels and the Kardashians.

They’re worshipped and adored

by the girls of this world.

Made to be FAWLESS, edited and enhanced to be perfect.

Unlike most, I don’t strive to possess the beauty they hold.

I contend to find my beauty within.

I am beautiful, not by the makeup

caked on my face

But by the kind words I say.

Loving your life and spreading

that joy to others is what matters.

Whether it’s a simple compliment

or just putting a smile on their face.

You can make a difference,

put your mark on this world.

This is why I choose

to be my own kind of beautiful.

Just beautiful me.
