Beautiful Optimism

A pearl,

Dipped in love and frosted with perfection,

Glides effortlessly and aimlessly, caressing

An even more precious cargo.

A wide eyed sprite lies in her own dreams.

Her visions cast bright shadows.

They dance about one another,

Embracing each other,

Weaving in and out until one cannot be distinguished from the other,

A beautiful balance of vibrant colors and gentle pastels.

For a moment,

A flicker of a scar

Behind the performance.

Her immaculate pearl is freckled

With the stains of life.

Her perfect world is flawed,

And yet she pays no mind.

Her dreams continue on

Under the guidance of a loving God

Who reminds her that,

Despite any hardship,

This is what makes her

Flawless.
