The Beautiful Place

What is this beautiful place

In which we lie,

A place where you and I

Can be alone and free from

The world and its madness,

A p!ace where the water runs

So smoothly down the rocks

Into the mouth of the river,

A place where you and I can

Just be,

This place is yours and mine

Alone, no-one else has this

Place like we do together,

The green grass , the moss

That grows so naturally

Across the rocks and where

We can escape from our secrets

And love one another the way

We want to.love,

Unconditional love,

The birds sing their songs

Of hope and happiness,

There is no pain in this place

In which we lie on the grass

And make love in a field

Of golden rods of grass that's

Tall, that was our first time,

We both shared this beautiful

Moment of innocence together,

It was our love that kept

Us whole, together, inseparable,

I wish I had said yes to you

That day you asked me for

My hand in marriage,

We were young, but it was

You that I still hold dear,

In my heart, my mind, my soul

This beautiful place that

We shared just you and I

Alone, is our place, A place

Where we can truly be free

And I will never forget it

Even when I'm very old,

But lives go different ways,

We grow and change in

So many days, and then we

Make choices that we had

To make in order to survive,

But I still hold this beautiful place

Inside my mind, my heart,

And I will never forget it

Or.you ever as long as I live.
