a beautiful place to die

here i sit, pondering

gazing outward into the sea

fears and hopes will intertwine

“What a beautiful place to die”

the incomprehensible pain sears within

but i shan’t blink an eye

the grass, restive, grazes my feet

“What a beautiful place to die”

Wither willow, fallen sky

But in my heart

Only peace, equanimity

“What a beautiful place...”
