Beautiful Poems
I meet a new challenge every day
They are quite devious, some may say.
A challenge a day keeps the heart awake,
A challenge a day keeps one mistake.
Often a day can beat me down,
Sometimes it knocks off my crown.
When I am sad and lonely I try to remember,
The part of my soul that is always clever.
For my soul can write like the sun,
Always beautiful and sometimes fun.
When I sit to write the words take my soul,
And I begin to act in a foreign role.
The pen in my hand, the spark in my eyes,
The world lights up as bright as sunny skies.
I write and I write until I can't feel my hand,
Then I shake it off and write like it's sand.
The rain falls down yet I am not aware,
I feel nothing of the wind whipping my hair.
I'm away, long gone, in a world of my own,
My pen and my paper are my throne.
I write to express what I'm feeling inside,
I write to feel when I having feelings to hide.
I write poems because poems are me,
I write poems because they are as beautiful as can be.
