Beautiful Reflection

I think I am beautiful with my dark brown flowing hair When I walk into a room, sometimes people stop and stare All my clothes are fancy and my hair's always just right With my nails to match my shoes, I can be quite a sight I'm told that I am pretty, gorgeous, bright, and smart Well that's all fine and dandy, but what's the condition of my heart Is it like the outside, pretty, clean, and bright Or is it repulsive and filthy, void of any light If I said the latter, what then would you say If I told you all the thoughts that occur within my day When I lie and I cheat and I hate someone with passion Does it make it all okay because I wear the trending fashion Can I keep all my faults hidden underneath my Maybeline Tucked inside my designer pockets, by no one to be seen How long can I keep this up, how much longer can I hide Before this ugly darkness creeps to cover my outside When I get to the end of my life, it won't really matter If I'm blonde or brunette, skinny or a little fatter No one will remember the clothes I wore to that thing Or my epic sparkly shoes, or my fancy purple ring What they will remember is if I reflected God If I was truly real or if I put up a facade I want to be that girl that's beautiful inside God help me be that girl so I no longer have to hide Help me to be loving, kind, honest, and true So when people look at me, they actually see YOU
