A Beautiful Rose

She is a beautiful rose,
and she doesn't even know it.
Her eyes are like stars that twinkle in the sky,
and when she smiles, I can feel her sunshine.
She doesn't laugh enough; she cries too much
short miniskirts and a lot of make-up,
she hides behind a mask of pretending and make-believe,
her mind is in a fog; it’s hard for her to see.
The question she asks, "Could you love me for me?"
I love you for who you are, and what you will be.
No matter what happens in the present or what the future holds,
you always be my beautiful rose.
