The Beautiful Teen

The trees sway

With the wind so strong

The sky turns gray

There was nothing among

Dead silence sweeps

Through the woods so deep

A little girl stares

Through the midnight air

Scared and cold

She sees something move

Not just an animal

But a tree stump too

All of the sudden everything moves

All of the sudden everything’s new

The scared little girl was internally screaming

But she just stood there and continued breathing

She remained calm for 16 years

Then suddenly she burst into tears

She grabbed something sharp

And started to cut

“I’m so weak” she said “I feel like a mutt”

“I don’t belong here”

“I’m such a waste”

Then an angel appeared in front of her face

“Are you here to save me?” The girl asked in fear

The angel responded with nothing but tears

The girl thought the angel wouldn’t listen

She was confused as the angel glistened

The little girl felt so alone

She just wanted to give up and go home

But home wasn’t a house where she had everything

Her home was heaven

Where she could go in a blink

She hated herself

Who she was and who she would become

So she made the decision to be done

She grabbed something lethal

Tried to end it all

Then the angel stopped her and stood up tall

“You’re better than this” she said

“You’re hurting more than yourself”

The little girl cried “I just want to rest”

“Forever and ever until the end of time”

“I’m going home where I’ll be fine”

The angel simply would not let go

That lethal weapon she held on like so

The girl pulled and pulled until her knees went weak

“I just want to go home, can’t you let me be?”

The angel spoke only once more

“Nobody in your life would be the same for sure”

The scared little girl came to a realization

The most people who hated her

Were in her imagination

She stood up and stretched

Reaching high for the sky

She did all this

As she wiped her eyes dry

Once a scared little girl

Now a beautiful teen

But now you must realize

That teen is me…
