Beautifully Broken

Broken lives, shattered dreams,

Battered souls, and silent screams

Are things I know all too well.

Why can’t we stand together?

Help each other, through it all.

Picking up the pieces,

No matter how big or small.

Betrayed by the ones I love the most,

The past haunts me like a ghost.

But that won’t hold me anymore,

Cause I’m stronger than before.

The pieces are being put back together

Though not the same as they were,

That’s what makes me beautiful

And for that I am grateful.

Let this light shine from within,

Now it’s time to really begin

Living my life to the fullest potential,

Knowing I am someone special.

I am Beautifully Broken.
