Beautifully Broken
The earth it quakes with ever blow of hand.
Resounding strikes they ripple through her core.
The inner frame it crumbles through the land.
“No beauty, fear, destruction.“ Echo more
within the soul. The battered shell abhors
the scars it does posses. From cracks they came
and linger still, reminders of a war
once fought with might now filled with fear and shame.
The race of men she holds to bear the blame,
but comes one to her side to heal the flaws,
The Prince of Peace, hung on a tree but lame.
He rose again to give us life. In awe,
she came to know the love of God, a man,
yet kind. With Him, in her new life began.
