Beauty

                                                                        I use to hurt

Crumpled into everything around me, fell in the dirt

Until I looked in the mirror                                                                     and saw past the face

And into what lay inside                                        behind                                         my two eyes

I saw what was in the                                            human                                                  race

Courage extending out of                                       skin                                          and into the world

And my pain shattered into what                            is                                      within, my inner

                                                                              Beauty
