Beauty

Some things break my heart from sadness

some things break my heart from pain

and in those times I scream in sorrow

and tears roll down my face like rain.

Some things break my heart with joy

some things break my heart laughter

and in those times my smile widens

as I feel happy ever after.

but the most terrible of all the breaks

is that which fills with both

pain and joy fight on in silence

as beauty takes its oath

Like the sunset in the morning,

the moon alight at noon,

I am unattainable

longing be your doom.
