Beauty Is

Beauty is

The freckles forming constellations

On our bodies

Thus proving

We come from the stars

Beauty is

The laughter escaping our lungs

loud and raucous

Showcasing the sound

Of utter joy

Beauty is

The hair raising on the backs of our necks

When we hear a good song

Forming a window

To what touches our soul

Beauty is

Authentic

Beauty is

Raw

Beauty is

Us

This absolutely touched me, as someone who struggles to accept and conform to society's views on beauty.
