Beauty

Philippians 4:12 New English Translation (NET Bible)

12 I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance

I have learned the secret of contentment, whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.

Look at beauty through the eyes of discomfort

How do you expect to see if not with your heart?

Most folks travel to places that they can afford

But what if the inconvenience is there from the start?

When you are young values are measured different

Discomfort as such appears in its own chosen way

To the aged inconvenience becomes a major hindrance

As to the young adventurous, all seems a neat special day

The eye of the beholder and the longing of the heart

Condition of the body or the state of a programmed mind

In a forgotten folder until death’s grinding does its part

Or in fake take up yoga to search for his own kind

Once I was young and now I am just me

Often dreamed before wishing to be free

Still tied to my wants and happy with some tea

Hungering for the best and now only let me be
