Beauty

They say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder

Then why as a society are we always trying to mold her

Trying to make her believe she needs to look a certain way

It isn't right what we do to the girls and women of today

We've lost the true meaning of what it means to be beautiful

It's when the inner beauty is too great that the body becomes full

The beauty then begins to resonate and shine on the outside

It is truly a wonderful sight that even she can't hide

Without inner beauty she is only hot, sexy or fine. Take your pick

But by society's same standards these outwardly qualities won't forever stick

Beautiful is more than what people think as the "ideal" outward appearance

However, it is that type of thinking that gives bullying clearance

Many seem to have forgotten all about the golden rule

Treat others the way you want to be treated. That's all you gotta do

I'm far from perfect but at least I understand

That our generation needs to make a stand

We need to look at all this pain, suffering, and sorrow

And do what is needed to make a better tomorrow
