***The Beauty and The Beast***

An old man once told his nephew

There are two lions that lay within you

The boy seemed confused and didn’t catch on

He had an idea but the thought was gone

The old man sat down and began to say

These two lions are here to stay

They both live and eat,

Just like you and me

But there is only one lion the rest can see

One lion is good, caring, and thoughtful

The other is greedy, careless, and awful

These two lions fight and claw everyday

Both hoping to win and eat someday

There is no purpose behind them just pure survival

They look at each other as a threating rival

Only one lion can thrive in this endless story

Only one can win and claim all the glory

The boy scratched his head and began to question

A look of confusion, was his expression

Grandpa, Which lion can I breed

The old man smiled and laughed indeed

There is only one lion that can succeed

And that lion is the one that you choose to feed
