Beauty Asunder

I look to the shore, and then to the floor.
  Whereupon mine eyes begin weep,
Scenic wonders that appear before sleep,
  Wonders that man hath plundered
And my mind hath yet pondered.
Have you ever looked toward a setting sun and wondered...
How such graciousness could be so discolored?
With hazy smogs and lazy bogs all floating skyward yonder
I flicker mine eyes back to the sky and my mind doth wonder
Where hath our people gone? To leave such beauty asunder.
