Beauty of Attitude

We've been told from a young age

How beauty is and ought be defined

From a young age I have felt resigned

Feelings of innadaquacy I could not assuage

Actors, makeup, body type, it's all staged

Air brush, plastic, and photoshop bear in mind

Image versus action of perfection, we're blind

But my beauty doesn't die, though I'm outraged

Attitude is the key to real sex appeal

Confidence is more attractive than indecency

I am true to me; nothing to conceal

I speak and am worth hearing ceaselessly

I am beautiful through the words I give meaning

I speak and I love, power gleaning
