Beauty in the Beast

You think you're pretty

You know it's true

But I see something else in you

You think you're pretty as can be

The boys all fawn

The girls all scream

Such superficiality

For this is what I see:

Cruelty shining in your skin

Malice glistening in your grin

Condescension in your eyes

Pursing lips filled with despise

Shallow mind and shallow heart

Pieces missing from the start

Worthless, tawdry piece of art

That is all you are.

I know my dear you think it's true

Your prettiness will get you through

You think you're pretty as can be

But stop looking in the mirror:

You'll see what I see.
