Beauty Behind the Dust

From day to day we fight to see the beauty behind thee,

these cuts we cover dust to find the strength within the idea of we,

anger leads to failure to go where we strive to be,

denial of hope in the beauty we do not see,

whether to go with the flow or wander to find me,

which there lies the perfect cup of tea,

behind the makeup, beyond the mirror, please flee,

wash off the dust and let the wounds bleed,

for without the pain of covering these,

we find the ability to breathe,

in my natural skin I can feel free,

throw this image you correlate with beauty into the sea,

because your beauty does not have to be locked with a key,

can we all just smile, please?
