The Beauty in Being You
I am myself.
except
hiding
masked
pulled back
a tight ponytail
it's time to let it down
show the world
but fear holds me back
what will others think
then I remember
I am myself.
I choose who I want to be
there is no need to hide
no need for a mask
I was meant to be this way
I feel fresh
renewed
welcomed
beautiful
I feel beautiful.
