beauty is confusing

The concept of beauty shall forever remain an enigma to me.

If “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, then why do we base such on only the opinion of one set of eyes?

They say that it’s “only skin deep” but is that a fact?

If “everyone is beautiful”, then why is there a hierarchy of what’s expected for us to abide in the standards of fashion and superficial manners?

Then “inner beauty surpasses outer”, how can that be so?

People are not one dimensional so the sweetest person could actually have a bitter heart and you would never tell.

People only show what they want you to see.
