The Beauty of Conviction

When someone starts talking about what they care about 

their face lights up,

their words flow more easily,

and they talk more than me, but out of sheer passion.

This pure conviction is rare.

It is a diamond of emotions, 

and the pearl of any conversation 

Watching someone 

feel joy

because they are practicing their passion

is something beautiful. 

Even when those in seemingly unpleasant occupations

find a way to integrate their passion 

there is a beauty. 

I am inspired by the passions of other people.

I love hearing someone talk about a topic they care about.

When I hear their passion 

I remember 

when someone loves what they are doing 

their task is infinitely more 

impactful 

and enjoyable.

I don’t know where I will end up, 

but when someone asks me about my job

I want my face to light up,

my words to flow more easily, 

and to talk more than them, but out of sheer passion.
