Beauty in the Midst

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

So no one will truly measure up

 to someone else's quota

I never really spoke when I was younger

I was busy watching everyone else's

lightning and thunder

I never really showed who I was

Around a lot of practical thinkers

who didn't know what creativity was

Many people only liked me for how I looked

Light skinned

 long hair,

pretty face,

lovely smile

To me none of that really matters

It's the soul and mind

that is truly profounding

To find out who is truly lurking

deep

 down inside

To see what others will quickly ignore

Is something I feel that is a gift from above

I see beauty in the people who only notices their flaws

I love to uplift them

And help turn those flaws

into something they can applaud

So that the universe will have a positive shift

into the right direction

This kinda sounds like a myth

But this is what I love to do

I see no harm

in pursuing what's right to do

Many would consider this a flaw

But I consider this beauty in the midst of it all
