Beauty in the Pain

Hurt so much she felt she had to be gone.

Even with the rape, she had to stay alive.

She found out about the babies at dawn.

Love she could not take away and deprive.

Depression gone, she had to become strong.

Two children were born and looked like their dad.

The many sleepless nights were very, very long.

She had chosen the names Tommy and Chad.

She had become the best mother on Earth.

To the boys who became and made her gain.

She couldn't have been more proud to give birth.

She taught me that beauty is found in the pain.
