THE BEAUTY OF THE POND
The Beauty Of The Pond
Every morning starts a good day
The beautiful light that shines on
My face so brightly in the morning
Makes my heart sing with joy ,
Looking out my window bay
Seeing the birds flying over the pond
To sing up on the lawn ,
And what’s left of night you can find
The moon seating a hill that is so near
The pond with it's reflection of the lovers
Moon on it ,
The black waterfalls sing's it's song like
Pouring rain where lovers play ,
As the sun appears trailing clouds
of pink and green wool, igniting the fields,
turning the ponds to plates of fire.
I went for a walk in mid Spring ;
I carried a bag with pen clipped in to the
Netting also this little notebook and a wider
one for long line .
I thought about the late March wind's
Then I looked and I wanted to write about
My life setting by the beautiful pond talking
To Jehovah God ,
The creatures there are dark flickerings
you make out one by one
as the light lifts great blue herons,
wood ducks shaking their shimmering crests
and knee-deep in the purple shallows
I must write and draw this down to show the
World what I have found ,
A deer drinking water from the pound ,
The silver water crushes like silk,
And the sky full of stars , and a moon with
So much love that shines on us ,
The night will make your heart sing
As I look all around me I can see Jehovah's love
He has given us from Heaven above .
