The Beauty She Brings

Look at the way she

Dips and curves

Like smooth music on a sheet

How she rises and falls

Like the rise of the Roman Empire

And the fall of Pompeii

The secrets she holds

Behind a veil of protection

And mysteries

Reveling hidden treasures

Concealing the important ones

Admire her dynamic qualities

Think about the lives she’s touched

And her unending string of love

Now look at her treatment

See the holes they’ve carved

How they take the roots she’s planted

Grew so fondly of

And severed them

As those roots had no meaning

No value

Held nothing but her in one place

The cage they’ve locked her in

Constricting her movements

Treating her as property

When she deserves to be free

And unrestricted

The way they trespass her very being

Violating her most sacred parts

Assuming they’re free of persecution

Of guilt

“Everybody does it? Why can’t I?”

She is not something to pass around

And take for granted

Admiration and respect

Is what her treatment should be

In a way

Mother Nature is much like women

Natures hillsides

To a female body

Her textures

To a females emotions

Deforestation of Ms. Mother

To a females values

Both are women

Who are stronger then many give credit for

Although both are fragile

And their contribution to this world

Can run out

If we aren’t careful.
