The 'Beauty' That Slumbers Within

Frigid morning dew permates the essence of the being,

damp frigidity sets in the bones as though an ice cold hand grips the very soul,

the demon sleeps in all her terrible, beautiful glory waiting to be stirred from her magical slumber.

For many an age she has resided in the desolate, dark wood upon her frozen stone tablet where the mighty witch sealed her away,

yet the day approaches the fates foretold when she shall be awakened to wreak havoc upon the world once more.

All is silent at his approach, his feet seemingly pulling him towards the stone tablet upon which she rests as though pulled by a great force.

Upon one glance he knows this was his destiny and that with one kiss she shall awaken and he shall serve his eternal master once more,

the one they call 'Sleeping Beauty.'
