Beauty of Spring

The ice begins to

melt, revealing the dead

it's leaving behind.

The gentle breeze whisks

away winter and carries

the sweet scent of spring.

The woods are coming

back to life before my eyes.

A beautiful sight.

Gentle green grows through

the death from those who came before

creating new life.

The blossoms of new

life springs up everywhere to

give hope to others.

They too will grow and

die, sacrificing themselves

so others can live.
