You are perfect in my eyes and in the eyes of my world

I will not allow you to see yourself any differently

Because I love you, I will push and push for you to do your best

I will strive to inspire you

I will comfort you

I will hug you tighter when you feel as if your world is shattering around you

Tighter until it feels better,

Tighter until all your pieces have fallen back into place

And then again when anxiety is wringing your chest and its hard for you to breathe

Because life is so overwhelming sometimes

Because I love you, I will try and make you forget even for a couple moments

That the world works in mysterious ways

It took me years to realize love is acceptance and reciprocation

I didn’t realize that being ignored when asking for help,  was a warning signal

All of your warnings were blurred like I lost sight of reality for a split second

Or maybe years

Because I love you, I want to believe you can change

Knowing you can never truly love me in the capacity I deserve is more painful than I can explain
