Because

"Because I love you" is not an excuse for you.

"Because I love you" is not the reason you hit me. 

"Because I love you" is not the reason you cut me with your words. 

"Because I love you" is not what you should be saying.

If you were giving me kisses in the morning,

If you embraced me everytime I saw you like it could be the last,

If you just sat with me and spoke about our happy future,

THAT would be "Because I love you". 

Instead you pervert this word: Love

Instead you break me down everyday

Instead you stop caring about me.

You keep saying "Because I love you", however

THIS is just "Because I have trapped you".
