Because

Because I love you I will hold your soft hand Through the sweet winter breeze With our toes treading sand Because I love you I will place your lips on mine It'll feel so free Since you're my valentine Because I love you I will always be around I will sing songs for you As the sun drifts down Because I love you I'll always be your glue We will never choose to part All my time I give you Because I love you I want us to be perfect We'll do all that it takes To make us appear worth it Because I love you All your secrets become told We can't let us be private Or our love might go cold Because I love you I can't let you be around other guys I'm afraid they'd coerce you Into leaving from my side Because I love you I raise my voice when you mess up I only want to know That you're able to learn your lessons Because I love you Your face lost its glimmer You haven't seemed healthy As you grow to be thinner Because I love you You just left me alone Made me unlock the door Going forth as your own Because I love you I feel so departed I search deep inside me To see how this started Because I love you I've gone so bananas The innocence is lost That we had in the first stanza Because I love you I had to let you go In steps I controlled you Falling down a slippery slope Because I love you... These words lost their meaning! From an innocent cadence To a phrase so demeaning Because I love you I wish I could start over With you there on the beach Watching waves go crash over But my fate has been sealed And I've lost you forever So I hope your next man May only treat you better Because he loves you...
