Because

Because if we really loved each other,

The ending should have been different.

Because I loved you,

I told you my secrets.

Because you "loved" me,

You spread them like dandelions in the wind.

Because I loved you,

I gave you what I could handle.

Because you "loved" me,

You gave me enough to suffice a fly.

Because I loved you,

You made me do things against my will.

Because you "loved" me,

You weakened me when I refused to your desires.

But because I loved myself more,

I left the wicked soul that was torturing my own.

But because you "loved" me,

You didn't even mind, you moved on to the next.

But that is okay.

Because I did not need you.

I did not need a vampire,

draining my happiness away.

I needed someone,

who would put enough care and effort

to equal as much as I put in.

Not someone who would

lie

cheat

damage

hold damaging secrets

or ignore me.

Because that is not a healthy relationship.

That is not how any relationship should be.

Filled with agony and depression.

It should be filled with light and laughter, with little

pain.

Enough to grow stronger together.

Because that is a healthy relationship.
