Because
I write because when I do I am stronger.
I write because when I do I remember exactly how I feel and felt.
I write because everyday when I feel upmost saddness I can document it and live in a happier and calmer state.
I write because instead of fighting, I aggressively type out my words of hurt, and yell. And no one is affected but me.
I look to poetry to save me, rather I write to keep me sane.
I read poetry to tame me, and laugh when I'm ok.
My words are my sanctuary, they keep me alive.
My words come and go...
My poems are rarely great, and few of them are good. It doesn't matter anyway, at least I'm understood.
I turn the page, a new day, a new feeling. After writing,
I can be at peace today.
