Because

You no longer know me better than anyone else

You no longer burn my memory with the pain you dealt.

I no longer remeber the feeling of your hand in mine.

All I see now is him.

Him.

The light that has made everything better.

The smile that makes my days brighter.

The reason for my new freedom and new hope.

He's my person.

You aren't.

And you never were.

because

What you said was love was never love

What you said was normal was never normal

What you said was just me,

Oh god it wasn't me.

You're twisted ways have given me my strength

You've lead me to discover the power inside of me.

The love that I can have for myself

The love that is the most important.

Self-love.
