Because
People raise their brows and ask skeptically, “How can there be a God?” How can there be a God when the world overflows with destruction? How can there be a God when the people who lead us are filled with corruption? How can there be a God when people are taken too early from their love ones? How can there be a God when men kill other men, without remorse, using their shotguns?
These awful, awful things happen every single day.
Because of these, they’d say God does not exist. Because of every man’s utmost greed and evil. Because of all the murder, extortion and rape. Because of the men who kidnap and won’t let victims escape. Because of the men who abuse their wives and vice versa. Because of the mother of four whose lover just walked out the door. Because of the man with his finger on the trigger who does not hesitate. Because of the child with hopeless eyes, who’s trying desperately to stay alive. Because of all the genocides and all the suicides of the world. Humanity has long died. Because of the girl’s shattered heart who fell victim to the boy’s lustful scheme.
LISTEN TO MY WORDS. Do you not see a common theme? It’s us. Everything imperfect in this world is because of us.
God created everything good and perfect. God gave us the ability to choose in our lives in hopes that we would find Him not choose what is wicked. But we use the gift of freedom for ourselves to betray our Creator and turn to sin.
Tell me. How can there be no God? How can there be no God when something as beautiful as a sunrise happens everyday? How can there be no God when darkness is painted with bright stars always. How can there be no God when we have hope pushing us out the bed every morning. How can there be no God when we still find time to thank him with all of our blessings.
We’re struggling but we’re still fighting. We’re crying but we’re still smiling. We’re crawling but we’re still breathing. The most beautiful things happen everyday. God exist and I don’t need to prove it!
Because how can lives be changed by something that is not real. Because life can be defined by a touch you can’t physically feel. Because hearts can be filled by a passionate love you can’t kiss. Because the eyes of the blind can be opened and the ears of the deaf can listen. Lord hear my dying voice! There are still people who believe in your existence.
Who are faithful, loyal, and pursue you with persistence. Who love with all their hearts and for you, we’re willing to go the distance.
We don’t have to be scared. When we can’t see the sun we know it’s still there. Even when we have nothing, we still find things to share. God…. God can’t be described. He can only be experienced.
